“Today, I’m going to have a problem with………………..”
This morning, as I cleared my yahoo inbox before getting out of bed, I read an e-mail from Amazon regarding a refund of an item that I had recently returned to them. Not only did they refund me on the wrong item (which was about half the cost of what I had actually returned), they also charged me shipping cost (contrary to what I was told) leaving me with a total refund of $0.45! As I was in the bathroom getting ready to go out to help the kids get ready for school, I thought to myself “Today, I’m going to have a problem with Amazon”. Almost immediately, I got a check in my spirit and my next thought was “Why do you choose to have a problem?” Immediately, I corrected my thoughts and decided that whatever the outcome of the call to customer service was, I would maintain a positive attitude.
I made the call later on in the morning & I had no problems whatsoever, (needless to say that I still had a little anxiety). In addition to a full refund of the cost of the item, the representative also told me to keep the $0.45 which had been refunded earlier. Then I remembered Proverbs 23:18–For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. What is your expectation for each day you wake up? What is your expectation in the situation you’re currently facing, whether good or bad? Whatever your expectation is, remember that it will not be cut off!
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
